How many people can fit into each campervan?
The Hi Top Budget Camper can comfortably seat and sleep 2 adults and 1 child.

Is the campervans diesel or petrol and what is the average fuel consumption?
With a 2.4 litre petrol engine you will be able to comfortably cruise the open roads and highways. The vans fuel consumption is approximately 14 litres per 100km, however this depends on how the vehicle is driven.

How many beds are in the campervan?
There is one double bed and one single bed.

What equipment is provided in the van?
Plenty! Crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots, frypan, grater, chopping board, colander, potato peeler, salad/serving bowls, storage containers, toaster, kettle, teapot, coffee plunger, bucket, shovel, broom, sleeping bags or duvet, blankets, pillows, sheets, towels, tea towels, heater, cloths pegs and line, fire extinguisher, LPG gas bottle, maps and camping ground guide book. Other Accessories are available for hire, including child seats, high chairs, microwaves, colour TV and much more!

Is insurance included in the rental rates?
Insurance, unlimited kilometres and GST (NZ tax) is included in the advertised rental rates.

If I decide to return the campervan early will I get a refund?
Unfortunately we are unable to provide a refund if you return your campervan earlier than the reserved period.

Do I need snow chains if I'm travelling in New Zealand during winter?
Between June and October is the snow season, however this is mainly in the South Island, which means you may require snow chains at times, however you are required to carry snow chains on the Milford Road from the 1st of July 1st until the end of October. We suggest you carry snow chains during winter 'just in case' and you can hire these from us.

Should I pre-book camping grounds and parks?
We only suggest you pre-book campervan sites when you are travelling over the Christmas/New Year period.

Can I use my own overseas Drivers License?
Yes, you can use your standard driver’s license or International Drivers License to drive any of our campervans, however the license you chose to use must be in English.

What days do I pay for campervan hire?
You pay for the day your hire commences and the day you return your vehicle regardless of times.

What are the road restrictions?
You are insured on all public roads, sealed or unsealed. Specific restrictions include 90 mile beach (North Island) and Skippers Canyon near Queenstown (South Island).

What is a safe speed to travel in our campervan?
The open road speed limit in New Zealand is 100km per hour. All our vehicles will comfortably travel at this speed. Should you choose to travel at a slower speed, please show courtesy to other road users by allowing them to pass.

What happens if my vehicle breaks down or needs minor repairs?
All vehicles are covered by the Automobile Association (AA) 24 hour roadside assistance service. We also supply a list of nationwide service centre’s and authorise you to spend up to $100.00 in emergency repairs so that you can deal with minor matters speedily or when convenient to you.

What is your Reservation Policy?
No reservation will be accepted or guaranteed without a part payment of hire cost made via a valid credit card number, cardholders name and card expiry date to be supplied at the time the reservation is made.

Is it safe to use my credit card online?
Yes. We treat the security of our guest’s information very seriously. To ensure your security, all credit card transactions are secured by SSL, which encrypts the credit card number so as to make it unavailable to any other party.

What currency will my Credit Card be charged?
New Zealand banking laws require that all credit card transactions be charged in New Zealand currency.
